    Click to hear trumpeter Amir ElSaffar's Two Rivers Ensemble live at the Newport Jazz Festival. The performance was a world premiere of  a new suite ElSaffar composed for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation with Zafer Tawil, on oud, violin and dumbek Ole Mathisen on tenor sax, Tareq Abboushi on buzuq and percussion, Carlo DeRosa on bass and Nasheet Waits on drums.     Amir ElSaffar Two Rivers Ensemble

    Live at the Newport Jazz Festival - August 3, 2013

    The ensemble premiered a five-movement suite composed by ElSaffar

    as a commission for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation.
