    What an interesting, informative and intriguing interview. Jose James is one of the new vocalists, who I find has something interesting to convey. Even when he does pieces from traditional repertoire he finds a way to not only to put his stamp on it, but to shine a different light on it.

    His melding of styles is refreshing, I love jazz and jazz singers but to many singers stay within a certain range, while Jose gives things a modern and unigue, vibe, feel and arrangement. There is a poetic sense to what he does
