In this show, we talk to Rock And Roll Hall of famer Allen Toussaint, who gives a tour of New Orleans music. We’ll listen to Toussaint’s latest project, The Bright Mississippi. Dori Caymmi plays two songs – one from his father, Brazilian legend Dorival Caymmi, as well as an original. We’ll hear Dori’s upcoming CD, Mundo Adentro. Finally, we visit Fred Hersch, who speaks openly about two major health scares in 2008. Hersch releases a live recording from his latest project, Pocket Orchestra.
