KAT Team's mission is to create a scholarship fund for young adults throughout the United States and increase literacy in underserved communities.

Karl Towns currently serves as President of the Board for KAT Team. Karl has been an avid supporter and champion of children for over 30 years. Prior to founding Kat Team, Karl worked with autistic and special needs children at Piscataway Regional Day School for approximately eight years.

Another big sports name will be on hand for the Walk/Run for Education.  The chairman of the fundraisers is former New York Giants defensive end and Super Bowl Champion George Martin.

This is how the 5k Walk/Run works.  Individuals can recruit co-workers family members and friends and corporations and organizations can sponsor, underwrite and create teams to raise much needed funds for UNCF.
