At Pat and Allan Harris Harlem Townhouse on the evening before the start of this year’s APAP conference , Venezuelan-born/ Miami resident pianist Silvano Monasterios started off the evening’s jam at the Harris’ beautiful living room Steinway. Monasterios, a long-time friend of the Harris’, also performed the next day at their Harlem Suite at the Hilton. One of my favorite things about APAP is that I get to hear musicians who werent previously on my radar, but are sure to stay there now.
