Robert Glasper on piano, Jamire Williams on drums and Alan Hampton on bass, are all graduates of Houston’s High School of Performing and Visual Arts although, as Glasper points out, “not in the same year, by any means.” FYI, recently-named MacArthur Fellowship winner Jason Moran also got his start at HSPVA.
