Guitarist Stephane Wrembel, well-known for his interpretations of gypsy jazz, performs around town regularly. I heard him at Fada, a French bistro in Williamsburg on May 11. When I told my jazz lover friend who lives in downtown Brooklyn about my “find,” she said, “oh, Stephane. yes. He plays at a bar in my neighborhood on Wednesdays.”  Seems he’s all over Brooklyn and I never knew it. Wrembel wrote the score for Woody Allen’s last two films.
