WBGO Wins First Place My Source Radio Award
Through My Source, public broadcasting supporters are able to tell their own unique and personal stories about how public broadcasting serves as a source for information, entertainment and empowerment.
This past Thursday
at the Public Radio Development & Marketing Conference, WBGO was awarded 1st prize for the My Source Radio Awards. My Source and DEI conducted a search for compelling radio testimonials that celebrate the voices of local listeners, and WBGO came out on top! Entries were judged on their authenticity, creativity and impact. DEI received 139 My Source spots from 44 stations across the country.
The winning spot comes from LaGuardia High School student Matt Berman, who shares why WBGO is so important to him in this exciting radio spot produced by WBGO’s Simon Rentner. Listen here!
For 29 years, WBGO has been a publicly supported, cultural institution that champions jazz, and presents news to a worldwide audience through radio, online, and live broadcasts, events, and concerts.
