One hour call-in show with WBGO News Anchor & Reporter Andrew Meyer
Marion Bolden
After nearly a decade in charge of the Newark Public School System, Superintendant Marion Bolden will be stepping down at the end of the 2008 school year. Before that, residents will get a chance to speak to her directly during a one-hour call-in show.
Lessons Learned: A Talk with Marion Bolden, hosted by WBGO News Anchor/Reporter Andrew Meyer, will provide the platform as they recap the progress of the state’s largest school district, and find out what Ms. Bolden is hoping for in a successor. The allotment of the $750 million annual budget to the Newark School District, which currently has 42,000 students in 76 schools, and the possibility of the return of local control are among hot topics of discussion.
We will be taking calls, toll-free at (800)499-9246 and your emails at lessonslearned@wbgo.org on Thursday, January 31st at 8 PM on WBGO, 88.3 FM, and online at www.wbgo.org
