Sen. Brian Stack All But Endorses Christie For Governor
By Katie Colaneri, WBGO News
Union City. February 7, 2013
Another democratic lawmaker from Hudson County is throwing his support behind Governor Christie in this election year.
At a ribbon-cutting for a new elementary school in Union City, the chatting and singing of schoolchildren provided the backdrop for another cross-party endorsement of Governor Christie.
“Make no bones about it, without Governor Christie, this school wouldn’t have been built.”
Without using the word “endorsement,” Mayor and Democratic state Senator Brian Stack claimed his spot in the Christie camp. He says he’s gotten flak for praising the Republican governor, who he called the “greatest in New Jersey history.”
“We need to stop the false idealism of the party line.”
Stack pointed to the new state-of-the-art elementary school and the smiling children who posed for pictures with the politicians, as a result of their partnership.
