NJ's First Medical Marijuana Dispensary Prepares To Open

Greenleaf Compassion Center in Montclair is now growing its first crop and expects to open sometime in September. The dispensary’s CEO Joseph Stevens says they began the application process over two years ago and out of thirty six applications theirs was one of only six approved.
“We’ve been working on our dispensary here in Montclair NJ doing the build out, putting in security and our computer systems, once the build out is done here we’re anticipating that will be august 19th the state will come in they’ll do a final inspection of our dispensing facility and issue a final permit.”
Stevens says they will be carefully monitored by the state and only registered patients and caregivers will be permitted to enter.
