In New Jersey, news of the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Affordable Care Act has put Democratic lawmakers on the move to fulfill the state’s responsibilities.

More than a month after Governor Christie vetoed it, a group of lawmakers are re-introducing legislation to create a state health insurance exchange.

Senator Joe Vitale co-sponsored the bill. He says the governor should work with them to come up with a plan that works for New Jersey…

“…Or the federal government will come in an do it, so I don’t think he’s that keen on the Obama Administration coming in here and designing health exchange.”

In a statement, the governor says he’s disappointed by the ruling, but would not say whether he’ll move ahead with the exchange.

Vitale says talks with the Christie Administration over a new bill could begin as early as next week.
