A new Quinnipiac poll reveals 43 percent of voters don't know enough about Republican Senate candidate Steve Lonegan to form an opinion about him. Undecided voters will have a unique opportunity to hear from Lonegan on Tuesday evening.

The Rebovich Institute for New Jersey Politics at Rider University is holding a public forum with the Republican Senate candidate. People will be able to ask Lonegan questions about the issues that matter most to them.

Institute Director Ben Dworkin says these forums are the most direct way for voters to get to know the candidates.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for voters to be able to come and hear Steve Lonegan speaking in his own words and answering their questions. And it’s an opportunity for the general public to just come and hear someone they might not have had a chance to hear with this election coming up in just a few weeks.”

The special Senate election will be held on October 16.
