Former Bogota Mayor Steve Lonegan wins the republican nomination for US Senate and sets his sights on Democratic nominee Cory Booker.

Conservative republican Steve Lonegan defeated political newcomer Dr. Alieta Eck in an easy victory. He will now go on to face democratic nominee Cory Booker in the general election. Lonegan vows to fight what he says is Booker’s agenda of big government, telling supporters it will be a Jersey style street fight.

“We need a government that will protect us from our enemies not spy on our friends our neighbors and our enemies. We need to embrace free enterprise not entitlement stakes big debt and government reliance.”

Lonegan says he is already preparing for the October general election taking no time off to bask in his victory.
