A New Jersey Gubernatorial hopeful has announced her running mate, and it’s a historic choice for the state.

Democratic nominee Barbara Buono has picked Montclair resident, Milly Silva to run with her for office.

Silva, a graduate of Columbia University and the first in her family to earn a college degree, says that current governor Chris Christie is a bully, not a leader.

Buono says that her running mate is a like minded woman who has confidence in the power of the middle class and maintains the importance of hard work and determination.

The duo represents the first all-female ticket in New Jersey and is only the third of its kind in the U.S.
