CHRISTIE BEGINS CAMPAIGN BUS TOUR TO ALL 21 NEW JERSEY COUNTIES WBGO News via RSS
Toms River - (WBGO News 10/28/2009)
The election for Governor of New Jersey is less than a week away. Republican candidate Chris Christie is now on a campaign bus tour that will take him to all of the state’s 21 counties.
The first of 81 stops for Christie’s bus was in Toms River where he got an enthusiastic reception at a get out the vote event. Christie says he’ll spend the six days until the election on his bus tour.
“The merits of it is you’re just going to go out and see a whole lot of people. And I’m going to them. I’m going to them. I’m not camping in Newark or Camden and saying come to me and see a big star.”
Polls indicate it’s a neck-and-neck race. Christie says he’s never felt more confident and believes he’s going to win.
Democrat Jon Corzine will get more support from President Obama at campaign event scheduled for this weekend.
