Jazz Leadership Society
Join WBGO's Jazz leadership Society
Founded in 1979, Newark Public Radio, Inc. is a publicly supported cultural institution that champions jazz at 88.3 FM in Newark, New Jersey and worldwide via wbgo.org. WBGO is one of the most respected jazz presenters in the country, NPR’s primary jazz content provider, and offers award-winning news and innovative children’s programs.
Looking to the future, WBGO remains committed to the presentation of the uniquely American jazz art form for audiences, young and old, investing in new technologies, and seeking opportunities to reach more people in more ways – on air, online, on mobile devices, and through more events and community programs.
The members of the Jazz Leadership Society (JLS) are an elite group of individuals committed to celebrating and championing jazz, and associated music art forms such as the blues and R&B. JLS members receive a host of exclusive benefits and insider access into the world of jazz and beyond, including special events, social gatherings and live music concerts.
The steadfast support of the JLS provides the vital general operating funds needed today to keep WBGO on the air and online, 24/7. Your support as a JLS member enhances WBGO’s ability to continue to present and preserve America’s cultural treasure.
