If it is morning and you pass along Corso Vannucci, the town’s central, you will probably encounter an enthusiastic crowd following a marching band from New Orleans past the historic palaces and churches of the centre. The highlight of the day takes place at comfortable new Arena, however, the spirit of Umbria Jazz doesn’t stop here. You will also find it in the eighteenth-century Morlacchi Theatre, in the small clubs located in the cellars of medieval palaces, and above all in the National Gallery of Umbria, containing one of Italy’s most important collections of Medieval and Renaissance Art. The concerts and jam sessions go on until dawn. "
