“Challenging the Comfort Zone”

This young pianist will engage the audience by performing, then asking the audience to propose questions about the music. For those music students and aspiring young musicians in the audience, Eldar will ask them what they have been working on. He will invite the willing to join him on stage to play something, and give them tips from harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic stand point. He will present a “vamp” (an accompaniment, usually improvised, consisting of a succession of simple chords) to them to challenge the way they play and their comfort zone.
