Let Afternoon Jazz and Singers Unlimited host Michael Bourne lead you forward and back. Internationally renowned trumpeter, bandleader and record producer Herb Alpert will perform at the Nokia Theatre, December 3 with his wife, the extraordinary singer Lani Hall.

He, as leader of the Tijuana Brass, has sold 72 million albums worldwide, and amassed Grammy Awards galore. She, as lead singer with Sergio Mendes and Brasil ’66, has won plenty of her own Grammys, and had a 30+ year career as an important songstress.

Sure they are looking back, but in so many ways, they are just getting started. The celebrated couple’s first album together has just been released on the Concord Record label. Anything Goes is a live collection of beautifully reinterpreted standards.
