    Drummer Will Calhoun talks with WBGO's Gary Walker about his new album, "Life In This World" on Motema. Calhoun, who is well known for his role in the rock group Living Color, has returned to his jazz roots on this record, which features Ron Carter, Wallace Roney, Donald Harrison and Marc Cary. Enjoy!

  • Trumpeter Terence Blanchard Live at WBGO: Excerpts

    Trumpeter Terence Blanchard's quintet performed music from their new CD, Magnetic, live at WBGO on Tuesday, May 28.

    Blanchard was joined by Kendrick Scott on drums, Fabian Almazan on piano, Joshua Crumbly on bass and Brice Winston on tenor saxophone. The group also performs Wednesday through Sunday at New York's Jazz Standard nightclub.

    WBGO is returning to Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park for another summer of dancing under the stars during Midsummer Night Swing. The three WBGO Nights during the season are:

    June 25 - Opening Night
    Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra

    July 2
    Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks
