• WBGO Is Live At The Newport Jazz Festival 2012

August 4, 2012. Posted by Tim Wilkins.

WBGO is back in Newport, with host Josh Jackson broadcasting live from the 2012 Jazz Festival from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. This year's festival is packed to the gills with fresh-faced and veteran talent, so will be exciting.

Our new sister HD2 station, The Jazz Bee, is also playing a special selection of recordings by the more than forty artists and groups who are performing at Newport this year. So listen to Newport's finest, including Jack DeJohnette, The Bad Plus, and the Tedeschi Trucks Band live on WBGO-FM, or to their best recordings on The Jazz Bee, take your pick!

We will also stream live video from the festival, in partnership with our friends at NPRMusic.org and WGBH. A full rundown of the concerts we will broadcast is below. Enjoy every minute of Newport 2012 with WBGO!
