    Yesterday, Latin jazz percussionist Steven Kroon joined WBGO’s Sheila Anderson to talk about his new album, “Without a Doubt (Sin Duda)."

    Kroon grew up in New York City surrounded by jazz, Cuban music, rhythm and blues, Brazilian music, and more. He worked with Luther Vandross for twenty years, and has also long been associated with the great bassist Ron Carter. He has performed and recorded with Spyro Gyra, Diana Krall, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Jimmy Heath, and many more.  And, in recent years he has pursued a solo career.

    Steve Kroon is performing this Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. at the York College Performing Arts Center.
