Singer Catherine Russell talks with WBGO's Gary Walker about her performances at Jazz At Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club Coca Cola from April 25 through 28, which will celebrate her mother, bassist and vocalist Carline Ray, who performed in the 1940s with the all-female band the International Sweethearts of Rhythm, as well as with Mercer Ellington and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater.
