Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition Finalist Sandra Booker

Singer Sandra Booker talks with WBGO's Rhonda Hamilton about her growing up in New Orleans, education in Los Angeles, and approach to music. Booker is a finalist in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, whose finals will be held on Sunday, October 21 at 3 p.m. at the New Jersey Performance Arts Center in Newark.
The competition is the final event of the inaugural James Moody Democracy of Jazz Festival, co-presented by NJPAC and WBGO-FM.
