Founder of the Newport Jazz Festival, George Wein, talked and performed for JLS members in WBGO's performance studio. Host Gary Walker asked George about the genesis of becoming a pianist and legendary festival producer.

George spoke about his first piano teacher, the early years in Newport, moving to New York City, and his passion for promoting African American culture. Click below to hear the entire performance and interview.
