- Join us for a free reception at 6 p.m. in the WBGO Art Gallery. View the exhibit of photographs from Cuba, meet the artist and enjoy a live performance by pianist Arturo O'Farrill.
- Also at 7 p.m., join us at the Brooklyn Museum for the BrooklyNites Jazz series featuring SOMI, hosted by WBGO's Rob Crocker.
- WBGO's 2011 Champions of Jazz Benefit on November 2 will honor Jimmy Heath and Tommy LiPuma, with performances by Natalie Cole, Roy Hargrove, Joe Lovano, Russell Malone, Lizz Wright, and much more. Click here for details and to buy tickets to this event.
- Join us for free jazz for kids this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Middle School with Zaccai on piano and Luques Curtis on bass, who will present a program of jazz and Afro-Caribbean music.
