Add new comment | Filed under: live at the village vanguard, Live Music, Live Music BloggingWBGO presented the Miguel Zenon Quartet live from the Village Vanguard on Wednesday, May 15 at 8:30 p.m. Zenon, an alto saxophonist, was joined by bandmates Luis Perdomo on piano, Hans Glawischnig on bass, and Henry Cole on drums to perform material he plans to record with the HR Bigband in Frankfurt, Germany later this summer.

Ballard will be joined by Eddie Henderson on trumpet, Kevin Hays on piano, Jeff Parker on guitar and Larry Grenadier on bass. The group's performance and broadcast were originally scheduled for last October, but were canceled because of Hurricane Sandy.
