    Bassist Christian McBride talks with WBGO's Gary Walker about his new CD with Inside Straight, People Music, and plans for the sixth annual "Inside The Jazz Note" concert with saxophonist Jimmy Heath, trumpeter Jon Faddis, trombonist Curtis Fuller, pianist Cedar Walton and drummer Louis Hayes. The concert, which includes an on-stage conversation and master class for students from the Jazz House Kids educational nonprofit which McBride co-leads with his wife, vocalist Melissa Walker, will take place at the Kasser Theater of Montclair State University at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22.     Singer Catherine Russell talks with WBGO's Gary Walker about her performances at Jazz At Lincoln Center's Dizzy's Club Coca Cola from April 25 through 28, which will celebrate her mother, bassist and vocalist Carline Ray, who performed in the 1940s with the all-female band the International Sweethearts of Rhythm, as well as with Mercer Ellington and the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater.
