Hear the insights of a woman who works on the inside.
She describes the festivities planned New Orleans Day at the FIJM -- July 6, 2010."It's going to be a huge huge party with dancing in the street!" Hoping for 100,000 people and it's free. Allen Toussaint, Trombone Shorty and Zachary Richard will play.

UPDATE: Parc-X Trio was announced the winner of the Jazz Festival Competition. Congratulations!
One of the contenders in this year's Festival Competition is the Parc-X Trio, named after their Montreal neighborhood Park Extension. They're making a return performance at the Festival, with hopes of walking away with the grand prize of a recording contract. Listen to Michael's conversation with the three members:
