• 2012 WBGO Thanksgiving Blues Poll

    Muddy Waters tops the list of WBGO listeners' favorite blues artists, according to the annual poll conducted by Blues Hour host Michael Bourne.

    Held at the same time as our annual Thanksgiving Jazz Parade, which asks listeners to rank their favorite jazz artists in a variety of categories, Bourne asks his listeners to vote on their top three blues performers.

    This is the fourth year Waters has come out on top in the poll, with BB King right behind him. This year, Buddy Guy and Howlin' Wolf tied for second place, one of several ties this year, out of the 106 total artists who received votes. There are also a number of newcomers in this year's results:

    8  Stevie Ray Vaughan
